Customers state the the mat is large and feels soft to the touch. There are fibers (as shown) on the surface of this mat which actually help to trap excess litter as your cat walks on over the mat. This same feature that works to trap the litter was actually stated as a hindrance by at least one customer who said it made it difficult to clean as when he removed the litter mat to empty the granules it remained stuck inside.
There were also concerns by some customers about durability as the mat seems to be made of rubber and a few reported that theirs did not look like it would last long.
